Catch problems before they start. EAESSI connects you with free screenings that protect against breast and cervical cancer, at no cost to you.

Your health should never depend on your bank balance. For too many uninsured women the cost of a checkup means care gets pushed off year after year. EAESSI changes that. We help uninsured women in Northern Virginia get free screenings for breast and cervical cancer, the kind of women's preventive health care that finds trouble early and keeps small problems small.

What is women's preventive health care?

Women’s preventive health means the checkups and free screenings that find problems early, before symptoms start. For women that includes breast cancer screening, cervical cancer screening and a Pap smear. EAESSI helps uninsured women access these at no cost.

Who qualifies for free women's health screenings?

Many uninsured women ages 18 to 64 in Northern Virginia qualify for free screenings through partner programs. Income guidelines apply. If you are unsure, ask us and we will check your eligibility for women’s preventive health care.

EAESSI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Northern Virginia. We partner with established programs so uninsured women get genuine access to free screenings, not a dead end. Your health, your privacy and your dignity come first.

What screenings do I need and how often?

It depends on your age. Most women begin cervical cancer screening at 21. From 21 to 29 you need a Pap smear every 3 years. From 30 to 65 you can choose an HPV test every 5 years, a Pap smear every 3 years or a combined test every 5 years. Breast screening usually starts in your 40s.
